District Camp 2015

We have an upcoming District Camp, which has been squeezed in between now and the trip to France. It will be taking place at Dilston Scout Campsite, just outside of Corbridge. This will be the first camp that our new Assistant Scout Leader, Michele will be attending, hopefully it won't be a baptism of fire for her, although with plenty of other experienced leaders from the Group there, it should be a breeze.

Our 100th Birthday

On Sunday 17th May the Group celebrated their 100th Birthday.

This was marked with a re-dedication of our flags in a drumhead ceremony.

Full information and photographs can be found in the History section of the website here.

Centenary Raffle

On the evening of our Birthday, at our party celebrations we drew the raffle. A huge Thank You to everyone who took part and bought tickets, helping us to raise an amazing £1450, that will help us with other celebrations during our Centenary Year. A full list of winners can be found here.

New Assistant Scout Leader

The Group would like to welcome Michele Barber, as our new Assistant Scout Leader. Michele is the wife of current ASL Mick Barber and she has kindly agreed to come along and help out. We wish her every success with her leader training.

Group Clothing

Group Clothing is available for adults and children. See the page here.

Easy Fundraising

The Group now has an account with Easy Fundraising, a website that raises funds for the Group as you shop on line.

If you use Amazon, E-bay, Tesco, Asda, Argos or any of the other 2000 on line retailers who are listed, clicking to their site from a link on Easy Fundraising generates money for the Group.

It doesn’t cost you a penny to register, simply search for 3rd Tynemouth (Ritson’s Own) Scout Group enter your e-mail address and then start raising money.
